Income insurance

If you are (temporarily) without income on St Maarten due to occupational disability, it’s important to know your financial situation is taken care of. You can arrange this by taking out occupational disability cover, which will provide you with a replacement income.

The costs are subject to 2 factors: 

• The insurance you choose: standard or combi. With AOV standard, the premium is determined by your age at the time of contracting the insurance and there are no annual premium increases.
• AOV Combi provides the same cover as that provided under the AOV standard policy, however the premium is age related and therefore increases from year to year.
• The amount of the benefit you choose to insure. This may not exceed 80% of your income.
