Feel secure! means you can use your Medicard to pick up your medicines from the pharmacy on St Maarten without having to advance anything, declare anything, or wait for a refund. For ENNIA and the pharmacies the Medicard means less work, less chance of error, and better cooperation. All this helps us to serve you even better. With the Medicard ENNIA offers an extra bonus, showing thet we care about providing the best possible care.
How does your Medicard work?
With the Medicard and a prescription from your family doctor or specialist, you can collect your medication quickly without paying at the pharmacy.
Who gets the Medicard?
You receive a Medicard if you have ENNIA 1st, 2nd, 3rd or children’s class healthcare insurance, but not if you have additional healthcare cover only. Your insurance must also include Family Doctor Plus cover without any medical exclusions.

What if your Medicard doesn’t cover your medication?
The system may be temporarily out of order, or it may tell you that you do not have the right cover. You must then pay for your medicationyourself and declare the cost directly to ENNIA. If you have the right cover, ENNIA will refund the medicication. You cannot use your Medicard to purchase drugs or medicines that are sold over the counter.
Deductible
If a deductible applies to your insurance, the Medicard will automatically reimburse you for the correct amount. You pay the rest in cash to the pharmacy.
Premium Payment
It’s important to ensure that your healthcare premium is paid on time. Your premium payment must have been received by ENNIA within 30 days after the date on which it is due and payable. If not, your Medicard is blocked electronically. Please note that it usually takes a few days before your bank has processed your payment to ENNIA.

Are you unable to pickup your Medicard?
If you can’t make it to pick up your Medicard due to
vacation or disease we would appreciate it if you would let us know by filling out below form.
